Why Recruit Using Facebook Jobs?
On September 1st, 2020, Traffit was able to share the great news that it has launched it’s latest feature. It’s integration with Facebook Jobs. We also launched a bunch of other things, but let’s not get into that now. In the 9 days since then, i’ve had a number of Traffit users tell me the same thing.
‘It sounds cool Mick, but why recruit using Facebook Jobs? ‘
It’s a pretty fair question. We get caught up with buzz words and flashy features all the time, but how the hell do they help your business? Let me take a crack at showing you how.
Why Recruit Using Facebook Jobs
Facebook currently boasts 2.7 Billion active users. To give you a comparison, LinkedIn reportedly has 675 Million active users. The average user spends 1 in every 7 minutes online on Facebook (4work). So that is a LOT of people, for a LOT of their time. It’s hard to imagine as a recruiter, that you wouldn’t want more eyes on your open jobs. Like literally all the eyes.
It’s free (for now)
Sharing your job to facebook jobs currently is free, and we don’t see anything in the future that will change that. Now facebook are far from the first free job board, but they are the first free one with such a range. Let’s compare that to ZipRecruiter, who’s pricing currently starts at $249 per month, or even Craigslist which costs between $10-$75 for a 30 day listing (and if you didn’t see how craigslist looks, I recommend checking it out later). That’s a whopping break for your job posting budget considering the alternatives.
Facebook is offering job search in which job seekers can select there city and country, and what radius you want to search within. They also can filter by Job type (i.e. full time, part time) and category.
It’s easy (for candidates)
The average rule is that for every data field you add, you lose roughly 7% of your applicants. Facebook have eliminated all of that process for you. When a facebook user applies for your role, facebook will prefill all of the standard fields in the process, allowing users to edit only if they want to put different than what is currently stored in facebook.
So to sum up
